Yes...your baby is ugly Well I know I have been gone awhile, getting MicrositesByU up and running and at the same time redesigning my blog and designing and getting the MicrositesByU blog up and running, the design is done we are coding it now so stay tuned for that. The other day I ran across a blog post by my friend Chris Brogan "Dear Car Dealerships – Stop Sucking" as you might imagine this started a small firestorm in my little circle. During the debate on Chris's blog we discussed a wide range of topics, but I think we all...

Its 9 pm and I get this tweet from Matt Watson of VIN Solutions. “Saving Chevrolet Means Sending ‘Chevy’ to Dump http://www.nytimes.com/2010/06/10/automobiles/10chevy.html?src=mv “ When I clicked the link and started reading the article, I found myself saying “WHAT!” There are no words to describe the level of ridiculous here. GM focus on building on good products, focus on connecting with customers and with your dealer body quit all this non-sense that your brand is broken, it’s NOT! What is broken at GM is it’s...

With all that said, the best use for Twitter I have found, particularly for a dealership, is as a message board...

Here is a good exercise to see for yourself what “SEO” is really doing for your website. 1. Go to http://www.alexa.com (it’s free) 2. Put your dealership web address into one of the top Search Alexa field and click Search, an overview of your account will come up, click Get Details   3. Click on Search Analytics the 2nd tab from the left
